The Pete Olson for Congress campaign announced key early endorsements from local elected officials who value Olson’s service and conservative leadership.

“Nancy and I are humbled by the broad and deep support the people of the Greater Houston area continue to provide our campaign,” said Congressman Olson.  “The folks of our area expect conservative reforms to change the course our nation has been on during the Obama-era.  I’m honored so many have come together to ensure our campaign is fully capable of defending my conservative, results-oriented record against liberal attacks and special interest groups.”

Early Endorsements from Elected Officials
The campaign also announced key endorsements from elected officials who understand Olson’s effective representation of the values and interests of people throughout the 22ndDistrict.  Six mayors joined the Fort Bend County Judge, Brazoria County Sheriff, and a Brazoria County Constable to endorse Olson.

Fort Bend County Judge Bob Hebert
“Pete Olson is a dedicated and effective Representative for Fort Bend County. Not only is Pete a proud Texan, a Navy veteran and a staunch conservative, he’s proved to me he can get things done in Congress that benefit our nation and our county. Without Pete’s aggressive leadership in opposition to Obama’s proposed new regulations for the EPA and the Corps of Engineers, thousand of Fort Bend homeowners could have seen their home values plummet. Pete’s recent work with FEMA delivered meaningful support and help for Fort Bend families impacted by flooding.  Whether it’s stopping bad regulations or helping Fort Bend families who were in a difficult situation, Pete has earned my full and enthusiastic support.”

Brazoria County Sheriff, Charles S. Wagner
“I’m proud to endorse Pete Olson because of his long-standing and steadfast support for the rule of law.  Pete is a tireless advocate for law enforcement and cracking down on criminal elements that support human trafficking, drug cartels, and illegal immigration.  He understands that criminal alien activity threatens our families, our communities, and the sovereignty of our state.  That is why Pete has always fought for more resources, personnel, and empowerment of law enforcement to stop these criminal aliens.”

Missouri City Mayor, Allen Owen
“Throughout the Obama presidency, Fort Bend County was under threat from activist bureaucrats looking to exercise their power.  Thankfully, Pete Olson was there for us to stop new regulations or mandates from harming our homeowners.  Pete has been a strong leader for us and we’re fortunate to have him serving as our U.S. Representative.”

Mayor of Pearland, Tom Reid
“Pete is unwavering in his commitment to promote conservative solutions that strengthen our economy, increase border security, and help deliver much needed job growth for our families.  His leadership promoting greater American energy security and productivity is critical for our region and our country.  I’m proud to stand with Pete and wholeheartedly encourage you to do so as well.”

Other elected officials offering Olson their early endorsement include: Brazoria County Constable, Precinct 4 – James Brawner; Former Manvel Mayor – Dolores Martin; Meadows Place Mayor – Charles Jessup; Simonton Mayor – Louis Boudreaux; and Weston Lakes Mayor – Mary Rose Zdunkewicz.
